-Affichage en Anglais seulement- The Business Development Director will be responsible for generating new business for the Real World Evidence Solutions (RWS) team, with a focus on prospective and retrospective phase IV and secondary use of data for real world evidence studies. Other key tasks will include development and support in proposals, contracts, and being a brand ambassador for the company at industry conferences and other events. Reporting to the General Manager, the individual will collaborate with the account teams to support various aspects of the sales cycle. RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform continuous searches through the web, contacts, and other available resources to identify potential opportunities that relate to our service offerings and core competencies. • Develop resources and material to support digital outreach campaigns • Work collaboratively with account teams to provide pertinent information on our offerings to new potential clients and opportunities • Participate on client calls/ meetings to position our team to clients and prospective targets. • Work with account teams to tracks and maintains new leads in the CRM to ensure all relevant information is captured in a complete and timely manner. • Lead the development of client proposals to ensure efficient and on time delivery in response to RFPs (requests for proposals), and any related deliverables. • Assists in the development of RFI (requests for information) responses as either stand alone requests, or in conjunction with RFP deliverable requests. • Development of project budgets, as needed, in response to RFPs and their associated deliverables. • Participate in the preparation and execution of formal client bid defense meetings, as needed • Assist in converting proposals into contracts in collaboration with account teams or contract analysts, including, but not limited to start-up agreements, statements of work, and change orders. Visibility Represents the company at major conventions, symposia, industry meetings. Assists with periodic reports to ensure timely and effective communication of key BD metrics to internal stakeholders. Performs ad-hoc analysis / generates reports as requested by management, to track and maintain key performance metrics related to BD activities. Maintains and enhances technical/clinical knowledge on company services to the extent necessary to accomplish the approved business plan.
Exigences
IDEAL PROFILE Education MSc. PhD. degree in a relevant discipline. Experience At least ten years of experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and/or contract research organization (CRO) industry, ideally a clinical operations role, Medical, business management. Past experience as consultant is a definite asset. Knowledge and Skills • Confident, creative, insightful, client and business focused service oriented professional with scientific knowledge of clinical drug and device research. Experience in Phase IV clinical research, or real world evidence generation a definite asset. • Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and composition as well as writing, editing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines. • Must be professional at all times with an ability to manage conflict and maintain confidentiality. • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-moving environment, while working calmly and thoughtfully towards solutions; • Must be resourceful in setting priorities. Mastery of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
